18 companies and three research institutions have teamed up in the Innovative Regional Growth Core ›Tailored Optical Fibers‹ [TOF] to develop and market tailored optical fibers for future applications.
The Fraunhofer Innovation Cluster Green Photonics bundles the forces of the economy, science, the federal government and the Free State of Thuringia in public-private partnerships with the aim of developing contributions to the solution of urgent future issues by applying light to open up new markets in important future fields for the industry.
Bundling economic and technical know-how, strengthening the innovative strength of the companies and specialists involved with the aim of increasing customer benefit, ensuring the application of state-of-the-art technologies, exploiting the dynamic possibilities of networks, innovative services of all parties involved and a high level of cooperation, organising internal further training programmes, gaining new cooperation partners.
